Kalonji (Black Seed) Capsules 350mg - Halal

I've tried Dr. Herbalist products before and they seem to have worked fine, so it's a brand I trust. I had never tried black seed oil before, but I have seen it recommended on various discussion boards and blogs for people with Hashimoto's thyroiditis. Since I have that, I thought I would give this a try and see if it helped in any way. I've taken it for a month now, and can say I really have no idea if it helped anything hashimoto's related or not. That said, I didn't have any problems with it either. I like that there are no additives; simply the black seed and the capsule. I included a picture of the back side of the label, since the product description doesn't show that, and it helps to know what the ingredients are, serving size, etc.As for rating criteria asked for: It's very reasonably priced (about $10 for 60 capsules), which makes it around $5 for a month's supply; a good value. The capsules are easy to take (as most capsules are, compared to tablets). I really have no idea why the star ratings always include "flavor" as a criteria for supplements, since most of us aren't looking upon our supplements as some sort of yummy snack that we'd rate based on the flavor of them. Capsules inherently have the least flavor of any supplement form, so it's even less of a consideration. I can say that these have very little, if any flavor.So bottom line, if black seed is something you're wanting to try for whatever reason, this brand is as good as any to try.

I have health issues so I have to take a fair amount of medications and suggested supplements. Sometimes it's nice to get a supplement that combines numerous things you need to take into one capsule. But there are times when you prefer something simple so you're not doubling up (or more) because of multiple supplements combing some of the same ingredients. That's what I like about this Dr. Herbalist supplement, it's just black cumin seed extract, nothing else. Sometimes simple is better. It's an extra capsule to take but when I take it I don't have to worry about making sure that I'm not taking it with something else that I might be taking too much of. I take two a day so I get a 30 day supply from one bottle, I think it's a fair value.

I have been taking these black seed extract for several day now and I have noticed a mild difference with my digestion and stomach issues. The bottle claims that you should notice it within a few weeks so I am expecting further improvements in coming weeks. This bottle of easy to swallow gel capsules came quickly and well packaged with tamper evident seals in tact. My perception is this is a quality source of Black Seed at a fair price point. I would order it again.

This is a smaller dose of the extract at only 350mg. I have seen them as high as 1,000mg, but more than one capsule can be taken.Black seed oil has many properties that are of interest to me, especially the fact that it’s a well-known immune booster. I’ve also read that this oil can be beneficial to one's skin and nails. Many companies are claiming organic, but this one doesn't. If you’re interested in black seed oil in capsule form, you might want to check this one out. It’s manufactured in Pakistan.The bottle was sealed on the inside. I do like the fact that it’s in a darkened bottle to prevent degradation of the capsules. A lot number, manufacturing date, and expiration date are stamped on the bottom of the label. The price is very, very reasonable at under $10, not the outrageous prices I’m seeing for waving black seed oil over their capsules or liquids.

I posted a couple of pictures comparing the size of the capsules to a couple of coins. Personally I can only take small pills. Thankfully I am able to open up these capsules and sprinkle the contents into yogurt or applesauce to gain the benefits. So far, so good - I think it has helped keep my gut health in check. I haven't experienced any negative side effects so far (disclaimer, I am only taking 1 capsule per day, but the bottle suggests taking 3 a day... which if you followed that, it would only supply you for 20 days).

Black Seed Oil vs Black Cumin Seed Extract... it's all Nigella Sativa. I've taken both and haven't noticed any difference in potency. This capsule is a little smaller than some, so it's easy to swallow. These supplements are manufactured in Pakistan, which may explain the "diet type" reference to this produt being "Halal", which means "culturally lawful or allowed," in the Muslim diet. "Kalonji" refers to the "black seeds", which are antioxidents, a good thing.My only complaint is the confusing and/or misleading label. It states that each serving size is one capsule of 350mg, so that you get 60 servings per bottle; however, the "suggested use" is three capsules per day, or 1050mg. 1000mg is what I've perceived to be the typical daily intake size for other brands, but then the real number of servings in this product is 20 per bottle. It's still not a bad price at $10, but you may take this into account when shopping between options.

This is pure Black Cumin Seed extract. See my photo for the ingredients. The capsules are very easy to swallow, and the serving size is one capsule per day. There are 60 capsules in the bottle. Black Seed is a good supplement to take, and I think the price for this item is very reasonable, compared to other similar supplements.

I really like using Black Seed oil for its many health benefits. Some brands I've used in the past are huge capsules that are difficult to swallow or in liquid form. These are sized for easy swallowing, leaving no after taste or oily residue in your mouth. I really like this brand.

These black seed extract pills are super easy to take. They are flavorless too which is super nice. I love the fact that they are non-GMO!One thing I do find peculiar though is the images for the pills at the top of the listing are tannish/brownish in color which is what mine look like. Though the images as you scroll through the listing are black in color.

This seems to be a good product. It is 100% halal and vegetarian. The listing mentions that it may take weeks to notice any effect; Black Seed Oil isn't one of the supplements you'll "feel" from one day to the next. I've experienced no ill effects, though, and do feel Black Seed Oil's potential benefits are of interest for my needs. It's just Black Seed Oil -not a blend - which I appreciate!

I was trying these out to see if there are any benefits. I wish that the description had disclosed that these are made in Pakistan. I'm not sure if it is verified with a quality control program. The pills are easy to swallow and I didn't get any aftertaste.

Product shipped quickly and was packaged well. Black seed oil is notorious for being quite pungent and difficult to bear for its taste. What a relief that this product provides a decent amount of black seed extract without that problem. It is also relatively low in cost. These appear to be hallmarks of a great product.

I can attest to black seed helping my hair and nails. I take a capsule, and I ingest a black seed oil. Finally I use the oil in my hair both prior to shampooing and after. ( Leave in hair as long as you can prior to shampooing). Then I apply a bit with a light hand after shampooing. Love black seed!

Black Seed has some great health benefits and since I've started these I have noticed an overall healthier feeling. Immune-supporting supplements are always welcome in my pantry and these now have a place on my shelves. I'm interested to see how they work long term, but thus far I can say I've felt better in the short time since I've started adding these to my daily routine. The capsules are easy to take, don't have any bad taste to them and don't have any issues digesting for me. Overall I am happy with this product!

These are simple easy-to-swallow pills that are supposedly filled with Black Seed extract. It's quite a bot more expensive than simply getting black seed itself, but this makes it much more convenient. I've used black seed before with awesome results on knee pain.I can't comment on THIS particular brand, but I'm pretty sure it should work just just as well as other black seed pills I've had. You can buy the actual seeds themselves, but blending them in your drinks is problematic because they're so hard to blend unless you have a really nice blender. We DO have a $500 blender that does the job, but this is much more convenient. I hope this review helps someone.

These extract tablets are ok. However, I prefer the liquid. I think the liquid is more potent and bio available.
